Christmas case 

Treat yourself or someone special to the grown-up version of a selection box! Our Christmas Case is a wonderful collection of all our favourite wines and is a great match to your Christmas Day menu or any festive celebrations. As always, this year’s selection has been specially selected with the current vintages in mind to create a wonderfully festive treat.

Here are our suggestions of how to pair the wines to your Christmas menu:

• Kick off the day by popping the cork of the very special Queen of the North Rosé. If you can’t live like royalty on Christmas Day, then when can you? Bold yet elegant, this is the perfect celebration wine. It would also be a decadent match to a brunch of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.

• With your apéritifs, crack open the Bacchus. With gooseberry and elderflower notes, this crisp wine is the perfect accompaniment to your nibbles.

• Now you’re sitting down, it’s time for Solaris. With its broad fruit flavours, acidity and character, it matches brilliantly with a prawn cocktail starter, salads or roasted vegetable tarts. 

• For the main event, our Pinot Noir Précoce Red is the perfect match to turkey. You want a wine as bright and fruity as the cranberry sauce to go with the traditional Christmas dinner, so this red, bursting with flavours of forest fruits, is a real winner.

• You might be having port or brandy with your Christmas pudding but if you choose a fruity dessert our Sparkling Solaris is a beautiful match. This lovely fizz is brimming with crisp acidity and a variety of fruit characteristics from orchard to subtle tropical hints.

• Our show-stopping still Pinot Gris is the perfect way to round off your meal with the cheesecourse. Rich but easy drinking, this wine has a wonderful variety of smooth orchard and citrus fruit flavours and is the current Best Single Varietal White Wine in the country after winning the trophy at the WineGB Awards.
