Getting ready for 2018
As we head into another Winter, we are all ready to put the vines to bed. We've cleared the weeds around the vines and given the grass a last cut. Next year we'll upgrade our trusty little tractor so we can manage the weeds mechanically and spray against disease from next year. As the vines grow and the canopy thickens, risk of fungal disease and pests increases.
It’s exciting to be getting ever-closer to our first harvest. A dry flowering period this year should have helped the vines set a good number of flowers for next year. We’re now looking forward to pruning in late Winter/early Spring, tying down and watching the buds burst. 2018 is going to be a very exciting year.
