Getting the site ready for planting
Having bought the land last year, ordered our vines and agreed a planting date, we had to get everything ready for the big day. Clearing the site, installing drains, erecting fences, planting trees, as well as preparing the soil all had to be done before May.
Despite the wet winter weather, we managed to get everything done in good time. Thanks to everyone who came to help, it wouldn't have happened without you. We're particularly lucky to be surrounded by some great farmers, who helped us with the fences, drains, ploughing and harrowing - thank you all!
