Harvest

  • Dunesforde Vineyard Upper Dunsforth North Yorkshire, YO26 9RU United Kingdom (map)

Volunteering for harvest at a vineyard is a rewarding and hands-on experience. The day typically begins early, starting around 8 AM, as volunteers gather in the cool morning air to work among the vines. The tasks usually involve picking grapes, sorting them, and sometimes helping with other vineyard activities like removing leaves or preparing the crates for transport. The teamwork and camaraderie among the volunteers make the experience enjoyable and productive.

The work continues until around 1 PM when everyone gathers for a well-deserved lunch, often featuring local foods and wine. It’s a perfect opportunity to relax, share stories, and appreciate the fruits of your labor. It's not just about the work, but also about the connection to nature, the vineyard, and fellow volunteers
