The Wooden Spoon Rally

We were delighted to be joined by The Wooden Spoon on 9th June, a fantastic charity that helps disadvantaged and vulnerable children across the UK. The fundraiser took the form of a car rally, with some amazing vehicles being part of the proceedings, all of which looked absolutely fabulous in the vineyard!

Luckily the weather was on our side and a bright sunny day just improved the atmosphere. The rally consisted of a morning treasure hunt around the local villages, searching for information that could only be found by having a good look around the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside. The final destination was the vineyard, where the participants were first treated to a walk around the vines, followed by an insight into Roman Wine making, finishing off with a tour of our incredible mural of Roman Aldborough! All of this was in addition to soaking up the sun on the terrace where everyone enjoyed a wine tasting and picnic lunch. Altogether a rather special day and all in the name of a good cause.
